Listening In and Deciding Where You Want to GO, with Mandi Briggs

Have you ever done something because someone else thought you should? Have you ever found yourself living more according to the opinions of others, rather than your own? This was exactly the case for Mandi Briggs, life coach, yoga teacher, and owner of The Collective, a co-working space for women.

After 3 years of marriage and 12 years total, Mandi realized she’d been living for “we” and had no idea how to be “me”. Despite her fears, she divorced her husband, quit her corporate job, and took a year to travel solo around the world. People voiced their opinions, telling her what she should and shouldn’t do, whether she should get a divorce and travel or not. But Mandi learned to listen to just one important voice - hers.

People are often projecting when they give you their opinions, which is why it’s so crucial to understand how to listen to your own intuition and inner guidance. Taking a big leap doesn’t come without fear, but the fear is exactly what tells you it's big enough to push you outside your comfort zone and help you grow.
